home sweet home

We are home!! Happy to be home. Now to unload, laundry, reorganize, and gett back to reality!!
No internet last night at the hotel - so couldn't update... but we had great travel weather and the kids were fantastic for the drive.
Great vacation but so glad to be home!

Not sure now what to do with this blog......... stay tuned if you want too :)

fly out for breakfast before hitting the road

Jordan's highlight of coming down to Florida is the Saturday morning breakfast. A handful of planes from this airpark fly out to another airpark here somewhere in south Florida that has a resturant open for breakfast. Starting about 7:30am away they take off from here (No sleeping in on a Saturday here! ) OH they took this plane because the other small, fast plane had some kind of something dripping from the front brake. So dad/Opa didn't want to chance it - so they took this plane. It is for sale if anyone wants to buy it!!

Everything is in the car ... so once Jordan arrives back home here - we will be hitting the road for a long days drive. If we have internet when we arrive at the hotel - i will post a quick blog of how we made out for the day.

our last day

Well we just enjoyed our last day of sun and fun!



The last 3 days were just spent hanging around here. Enjoyed the pool, Opa's toys, some shopping and a few rain storms.

Shell Factory

Today was a really really HOT day!! Hot and humid. went up to almost 85 today but felt more like 90.

We went to the Shell Factory. It was a HUGE store with lots and lots of shells - each room was themed. There was a big pond area outside with bumper boats and turtles and fish and ducks. There was minigolf too - but it was TO HOT for that. There was a section also that was like a little Zoo. We went thro it quickly cause it was out in the blazing sun and man it was hot.

Came back here and Jordan is STILL in the pool. Good day!!

Fly in Breakfast

Every Saturday (if the weather is suitable) lots of planes fly outta this airpark and meet up at another airpark for breakfast. So away

Jordan and Opa went this morning. They took the fast Venture so only two of them could go. Jaci and Oma went out for breakfast to the waffle house. Don and I stayed here and had a nice quiet coffee together.

Beautiful sunny hot day today. Spent the afternoon relaxing by the pool. Dinner tonight was at the neighbours here - big steaks. Friends from another airpark in Naples were there too ... it must be about 10 years since seeing them last.. Great evening of food, friends and conversation

Venture Ride & Turtle

Jordan & Opa went for a flight in the Venture. Very small, VERY fast plane.

Jordan actually got to pilot this "egg" plane fast down the runway and up in the air. (dad had his hands very close to the controls) But yes basically Jordan got them up in the skiies. Good thing i didn't know that was going to happen ... found out after they had safely landed. He didn't do the landing tho - dad did.

While Jordan went for a flight we went with Jaci to the ditch on the side of the runway here and she found the turtle again--- we have named the turtle "Avery"

Jordan went for an airplane ride with the neighbour here. How exciting and fun for him!! :)
