Friends & Wild life

Today was mostly a cloudy day. It rained a bit off and on most of the day. Craig, Karen and Alyssa came here for a visit. We were suppose to eat lunch here then head out to Alligator Alley. BUT after lunch we decided to just sit and visit so the kids jumped into the pool = there they stayed for the afternoon and we all had a nice visit together.

Here at the airpark there is a swampy ditch right next to the runway. In this ditch and surrounding area there is quite the wild life. Check out the photos below...

This black stick thing is a long fish - kinda looks like a sword fish.

RODEO in Arcadia 80th anniversary

Today is was cool again. Went up to about 73 but the wind was cold. So we decided to head out to see a Rodeo. IT was fun! They put on a good show. Bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, barrel racing, tie-down roping, team roping. There was a bit extra for the kids to try too, machanical bull, rock climbing, mini pony rides, jumping tent thing... and a bit more.
It was a good day there! :)

Kids are in the pool now ... but my camera died - so i will have to take pictures tomorrow of them in the pool. Dad has the pool up to 90 = so that is why the kids and Don can swim when it is only 63 outside. TO COLD (outside) for me - that is why i am blogging instead.

(If you click on the pictures...sometimes it works that the picture will upload larger. Not sure why some pictures work and some don't.)

We arrived

Another long day of road travel. BUT we are here safe and tired. We arrived at 3:35pm. Sunny but really windy and the wind is cold. Temps are actually a little cool. 72. Jaci and Jordi are both in the pool tho cause dad has it up to 90.

Day of driving

We left at 6AM from our Burlington home. Crossed the border in Erie and there was an hour wait. Think TONS of people had the same plan as us... hit the road early. Basically the whole day we were surrounded by vehicles with Ontario plates! Didn't feel like we were outta Ontario.

We drove till 10:30pm. It was a long day ... lots of heavy rain and 3 big long traffic jams. BUT we are here now at Quality Inn just north of Savannah GA. Don thinks we have about 8 hours of drive left to do tomorrow.

Remember to check this blog daily... i will try to post often. I will also add photos once i know how - lol .
